Liam and his team were professional throughout the project. We refurbished a Victorian property in a conservation area which had a very dark damp cellar with a low ceiling. It was a daunting project to convert this area into a a beautiful living space. Liam guided us through the planning process as well as helping with the structural engineer. St Albans Basements did such an amazing job that they were engaged by our neighbour to undertake their extensive basement project. We would use them again without hesitation.

Liam and his team did an amazing job building our basement. They were all so conscientious and careful about keeping our house tidy, cleaning after themselves every day. This involved lots of digging to increase the footprint and ceiling heights, underpinning the house, and fully damp-proofing everything. A year later we had St Albans Basement back to build a side return extension. All of this together has transformed how our family live, and the kids can grow up here without us ever having to move. Liam and his team converted our basement in our previous house. This involved full underpinning, tanking with membrane and pump, new staircase and finish. The room came up great with a nice high ceiling and was well insulated. From start to finish we were impressed with Liam and his team and it is no surprise to us when we see his hoardings around St Albans. Highly recommend.

Liam and the team worked wonders on our basement, a lot of work was required to dig out an existing space and add a new staircase and window into the damp cellar, but the team worked quickly and efficiently in what was a narrow and difficult street to work, in terms of allowing access for skips and deliveries. The basement room is a brilliant family space, and feels airy and temperate. Cool in summer and warm and cosy in the winter. The team were polite and considerate when working around a young family which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend.
