With a growing family, a need for space to work from home and a place for guests to stay, our brief was to provide as much room as possible for our client to create a multi-functional space.
Our sympathetic conversion of the home’s existing cellar, retains its original feature lightwell, but adds a new timber staircase that seamlessly blends the conversion with the original house.
The client’s use of bespoke joinery makes the most of all the available space. Hidden storage cleverly conceals the children’s toys and a built-in desk also doubles as a reading nook for the children.
Natural daylight combined with the mood lighting transforms the playroom to an office and then to a relaxing place by night once the day’s work is done. With plenty of space for a sofa bed, our client now has extra room to accommodate guests.
