A growing family living in the heart of St Albans was keen to remain in this beautiful period property but lacked the space needed for their growing family.
With no option of extending upwards or outwards the client appointed us to convert their unused cellar to provide an additional 16 square meters of flexible living space.
The addition of a lining wall to the perimeter of the cellar contained a waterproofed membrane and insulation keeping the living space warm and dry, whilst the addition of contemporary lighting creating a bright and welcoming environment.
The flexible living arrangement was complemented with the addition of an enclosed WC, providing a functional space required for this growing family.
