Our brief was to create a truly exceptional family home from scratch, where the basement would be as considered and as beautifully specified as the striking oak frame home being constructed above it.
We are currently completing a substantial 220 square metre basement — forming the solid foundation upon which a bespoke oak frame home will sit. The scale of the space has allowed us to create a lower ground floor that functions as an entire world of its own, housing a dedicated cinema room, games room, study, bedroom, plant room and storage — every amenity a modern family could wish for, all beneath their feet.
The result will be a home that is as impressive below ground as it is above — a seamless marriage of contemporary basement living and the timeless warmth of an oak frame structure, set in one of Hertfordshire’s most desirable locations.
